VALPARAISO

In 1811, the Chilean Congress decided upon free trade for the harbor city of Valparaíso ; and shortly thereafter, the
country proclaimed its independence. As influential citizens of Valparaíso, players strive to advance the development
of their city. For this purpose, you send merchants to the hinterlands to trade there, and sail your ships overseas to
attain new achievements.
In order to accomplish this goal, you need to plan ahead carefully, but also keep an eye on the other players and react
to their actions on short notice. If your plans are not good enough, you’ll run out of time – in the short as well as the
long term. That’s because you are under time pressure and the end of the game often comes sooner than you think !
